Yes. It’s very important to me to provide students and families with the attention they need and deserve. Therefore, I limit the number of students that I personally accept. But don’t worry! Working with Leslie and Janet is a great option, as are my group workshops and online course.

Nearly all of my Comprehensive College Admissions Package clients apply to some type of summer program, so yes, I enthusiastically help with those applications.

We meet at my office in Snyder, which is located in my home. Zoom meetings are also always available.

Yes and yes! I use a student-friendly program called YouScience to help students identify their strengths and interests. Based on the data the program provides, I help students explore possible majors and careers.

Yes! In any given year, I work with multiple recruited athletes - from baseball to swimming, from lacrosse to football, from rowing to track, I have assisted a wide range of student-athletes. I had my first pole vaulter this year! I’m well-versed on NCAA regulations and timelines, and I’ll make sure recruited athletes stand out academically.

These are some of my favorite students to support! In addition to helping student right-fit programs, I work in cooperation with teachers to help build portfolios and navigate apps like SlideRoom. I keep students organized and on track for auditions.

The “big money” scholarships are institutional aid: in other words, scholarships that are awarded directly by the college.
The vast majority of these merit scholarships are “automatic consideration,” meaning that your application to the school IS your application for the scholarships. (If this sounds confusing, don’t worry! When we work together, I’ll take you through this step-by-step.)
So, this is a long way of saying, yes, I DO help students find scholarships because I identify right-fit schools where a student is likely to be awarded institutional merit aid. Additionally, if your family qualifies for need-based aid, I will help you identify schools that will fully (or close to fully) meet that demonstrated need.
I certainly help students look for and apply to “outside” scholarships (aka, scholarships that are NOT awarded by a college). Many of my students receive these awards—however, these are typically not large scholarships (the Jolly Boys of Williamsville Scholarship is not going to pay for Cornell, for example). Therefore, I prioritize institutional aid… and having clear and honest discussions about finances from the very first meeting.

I work closely with Andy Leardini, founder of College Financing Group, to make sure my students have all their necessary financial aid forms completely. You’ll pay a separate fee directly to Andy and set up your meetings with him on your own. He and I will coordinate to make sure that you have all materials in on time! Andy can also help you family in the financial aid appeal process.

While figuring out when to take the tests (and which tests to take) is an important part of my service, I do not personally prepare students for SAT and ACT. Melissa Cook, owner of Test Preps, a Buffalo-based standardized test prep company, will help you find the ideal program for your student.
